<1 hr
of your time, total
Done in a lunch break
Quote review, signatures, broker list — totalled across the entire switch. Nothing dragged out.
Day by day, what actually happens
Quote accepted, policy bound
You sign. We bind coverage with the new carrier with an effective date that lines up to the day your old policy ends. No earlier, no later.
We prep every filing
BMC-91, lienholder notification letters, IFTA/state filings, list of every broker and shipper holding your COI on file. You confirm one email list and we take it from there.
Filings submitted, COIs issued
BMC-91 hits FMCSA. Lienholders receive their updated certificates. Every broker on your list gets a fresh COI in their inbox — usually before they think to ask.
Cutover + cancellation
New policy goes live. We send the cancellation notice to your prior carrier on your behalf and start tracking your refund. You don't make a single phone call.
What we handle vs. what you handle
Most of the work is on our side. That's the entire point.

What happens to your old policy's premium
Two scenarios. We tell you which one applies before you switch.
Pro-rata refund
Most commercial trucking carriers refund unused premium on a pro-rata basis — you get back every day you paid for and didn't use. We make sure the cancellation is processed cleanly so this is exactly what you receive.
Short-rate penalty
Some carriers apply a short-rate penalty (typically 10% of the refund) if you cancel mid-term. When this happens, we'll tell you the exact dollar impact before you decide — and in many cases we can negotiate a waiver.
We track your refund until it lands
After cancellation, your prior carrier has a state-mandated window to issue the refund (typically 30–45 days). We follow up at the right intervals so it doesn't get forgotten.
